The “Name the Cactus” campaign was a 2 week long Facebook contest that attracted a lot of attention. The creative names and engagement that the post had received was equally as impressive as the engineering of the steel, locally-made, recognizable cactus itself. The rules were simple – ‘Like’ the Chevys-Lincoln Facebook page, give the 15 foot cactus a creative name and use the #namethecactusLNK to automatically be entered to win a $100 gift card to Chevys Fresh Mex. As for the winning name – Fresh Mex Rex. And, the winner got to enjoy a couple free meals on them to express their appreciation.
