Inserter Operator – Production

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Our Inserter Operator is a key member of our production team, with a blend of teachability, mechanical aptitude and physical stamina. As part of the team, you’re becoming a key player in our dynamic, fast-paced environment. Dedication to excellence and reliability is crucial, especially during our busiest times. As an Inserter Operator you will work with our Inserting team on one of four pieces of inserting equipment (two 9 pocket Pitney Bowes Flowmaster inserters, one Bluecrest 9 pocket inserter and a swingarm). Your commitment to showing up on time and being ready to exceed expectations sets the tone for your success.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Set up and configure inserting machines according to job specifications.

• Operate inserting machines to assemble printed materials with precision and efficiency.

• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality and productivity.

• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and client specifications.

• Perform routine quality checks during production to identify and resolve any issues promptly.

• Conduct regular maintenance on inserting machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

• Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical or operational issues that arise during production.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job progress and any potential issues.

What We’re Looking For:

• Ability to read, write, and understand basic English instructions.

• Basic math skills and the ability to read a ruler.

• Basic computer skills to operate press software and navigate our order system for data collection.

• Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

• Keen attention to detail and a mechanical aptitude.

• Reliable attendance, showing up on time every day, motivated to exceed expectations.
