Handwork Assembly

Department: Bindery

Reports To: Production Manager

Shift: First Shift Position, 8:00am – 4:00pm

FLSA Status: Seasonal Employee, Level 1 Security


Supports bindery operations through the organization and assembly of materials for hand inserting unique mail pieces in compliance with USPS standards. Prepare final envelopes in appropriate mail trays for final mail destination.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • 1. Pick/ pull/and replenish inventory
  • 2. Hand insert appropriate components into corresponding envelope
  • 3. Must be able to follow instructions and work in a team environment
  • 4. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

• High School or equivalent
• 1 year printing, mailing or material handling experience preferred.

Physical Requirements
• Mobility to walk, bend, stoop and stand during assigned shift.
• Ability to lift unassisted 20 - 40lbs.
• Ability to push or pull 150 lbs. assisted.
• Good manual dexterity

Client Services

Client Services Representative

Serves the customer by coordinating job details with them and the appropriate departments to ensure timely production and delivery of a quality product that meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations. Acts as the liaison between the client base and company with an overall objective of creating an outstanding client experience.


    • Identify and compile accurate information detailing customer specifications and communicate the data to the production departments. Will follow up by maintaining contact with the customer and Account Executives to assure production meets customer expectations.
    • Enters job tickets for new jobs identifying specifics of production needs. Coordinates any missing details with the client to ensure 100% accuracy. The job ticket will identify specifications, schedule and design requirements, materials used, quality expectations, quantity, and delivery requirements along with client expectations.
    • Receives, reviews, prepares, and transmits electronic media for each job as necessary to assure the pre-press department understands customer requirements. Helps to ensure complete files and data are as expected prior to beginning a job.
    • Inspects proofs and coordinates delivery and receipt to and from the customer using couriers or the Account Executive. Signs off and OK’s proofs when necessary to assist the client.
    • Monitors production processes to see that the customer’s order is being produced on schedule and according to specifications. Communicates any concerns and changes and seeks solutions to problems with Department Managers, the Account Executive and most importantly, the customer.
    • Acts in a sales capacity whenever needed to ensure a superior client experience. This includes but is not limited to: assisting with the estimating of orders/projects; client proposals; following up on estimates/proposals; client meetings; in some cases, has sole responsibility of a client account; etc.
    • Follows up with clients once an order is complete to make certain we have met or exceeded their expectations.
    • The scope is not limited to the essential job functions listed.


    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of the overall printing production process is helpful.
    • Ability to work and communicate with vendors, co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Experience with Google Analytics, Automation Platforms, WordPress and Content Management Platform(s).
  • Experience with digital marketing principles and approaches, such as campaign ties across multiple executions, marrying print with digital campaigns, social vs. media platforms, etc.
  • Social media and blog writing skills including knowledge on messaging for individual social media channels (Facebook vs. Twitter vs. Instagram, etc.).
  • Core deep understanding of marketing tactics, approaches to make appropriate recommendations and align with marketing plans/strategies. Note: We will train you to learn the complexities of the commercial printing industry.
  • Knowledge in content creation platforms (Gather Content, etc.) and social media automation/posting for multiple accounts (HubSpot, etc.).
  • Experience presenting creative concepts and/or making client presentations to small or large-sized groups of decision makers.
  • MS Office Suite proficiency (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) and Adobe Creative Cloud know-how a plus!
  • Experience working with graphic design and interactive teams leading the creation of digital, print, and web-focused assets.
  • Cloud-based project management platform(s) experience in managing jobs, resources, and project pipeline(s)


  • BA in marketing, business, or advertising.
  • Former advertising experience considered a plus.
  • Ability to travel to meet 1:1 with clients 10-20%.
