Variable Data Printing, Explained
Variable data printing is personalization. It’s a form of on-demand printing in which elements like text, graphics, and images may be changed from one printed piece to the next – all without stopping our pausing our machines. This means that you can create your design file in a way that will link pre-determined components to the unique customer profiles that you store in your data files.
The Power of Personalization
Customers are much more likely to respond to messages and images that were crafted specifically with their shopping habits and lifestyle in mind.
Our systems are made to change between different creative packages or designs for each contact, so if you have 10,000 names in your database, we can print 10,000 different versions of your project with ease.
With us, you have the power to implement custom personalization for your entire direct marketing program. What will you personalize in your next campaign?

How do I prepare my design file for personalized printing?
We recommend using InDesign for variable data projects. Make sure all text is formatted the way you want it (color, size, font) and in the location you want it and keep all of your linked assets named appropriately in the folder that you send to us. If this is a new concept to you, we have a team who is able to guide you in best file prep practices for variable data, so don’t hesitate to reach out to your Account Manager for more specifics on this topic.
